The "shampoo effect" takes place when you drink a small amount of alcohol the day after a night of binging and begin to feel sauced. Think about it, "lather, rinse and repeat". That second time you wash your hair it only takes a dime-sized serving of shampoo to get lathered again. The most common use of the term refers to drinking (although when I heard about it through the grapevine and tried to explain it to other friends, they looked at me like I had been dropped on my head as a child). For more information see Urban Dictionary: shampoo effect.

Set GPS to avoid highways
I was about to drive home from work in PA when I decided that I was too tired to stare at a highway for 2 hours. I told the ornery British woman in my GPS to avoid all highways. This is what I found. It was nice to discover the existence of Mosquito Creek Lake, especially since it's only an hour and 15 from my apartment. If you have a GPS I highly recommend avoiding a highway here and there.

Welcome to my website. I have no plans for what direction I'm going to take it in. Mong says hello. She is the cat that lives in my apartment with my roommates and I. "Mong" is short for "Mongrel", which is the nickname she has earned, but sadly I haven't got any photos of her wreaking havoc. They are hard to come by due to her sneakiness. Luckily for us, I can't seem to hide much when it comes to that sort of thing.
