I'm Going to San Francisco

I'm going to San Francisco tomorrow through Memorial Day weekend!
Suggestions on places to go/things to do are welcome.
I'll try and throw some photos on @BradVideo while I'm there.
I'm gonna get this move in at least once while I'm there:

Boutaoshi - King of the Hill On Steroids

This game looks sweet! Anyone want to start a Tuesday night league?

Maverick Carter Is Going To Hell

There's a new book coming out May 24th titled Those Guys Get To Have All The Fun.
It's about all the shenanigans going on at ESPN. I will definitely be buying it.
I saw this gem from the book about Lebron's "The Decision" and thought I'd share:

JIM GRAY (interviewer in "The Decision"):
"...by the end of the conversation, I said, 'Better yet, Maverick, why don't we do this: Why don't we go buy an hour of network time, you produce the show, you own the show, I get to do the interview, and you have LeBron make the announcement of where he's going to go.' Before I got the last three words out of my mouth, Ari said, 'That's a brilliant idea. That's unbelievable. Maverick, you ought to do that!' Then Maverick looked at Ari and said, ‘Okay. You want to handle it?' Ari said, ‘Yeah, that's great, let's do this.' Maverick then said, 'You know what, we can raise a bunch of money for charity, so that no one will think LeBron is going to profit from this.' Then Maverick told me to stay in touch with him, And Ari, and that was that."

Slick Rick

I keep hearing my little brother around the house talking about "swag".
If I could pinpoint swag, this photo would probably be what I'd pick.
I've got much respect for Slick Rick
after reading about him in Jay-Z's book Decoded

Perfect Sobriety Test

This isn't real (it's from Reno 911), but it gets me every time.

So This Happened...

Kevin Durant embarrassed Brendan Haywood last night in game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
I was a little excited about it.

Cowa Bunga Dude

You Don't See That Everyday

Reposted from Itwonlast:
Situated in the center of Osaka, the 32,000-seat Osaka stadium was the former home
ground of  the Nankai Hawks baseball team. In 1988, the Hawks were sold to Daiei Group
and moved to Fukuoka City. As the three remaining teams in Metro Osaka got their own
stadiums, Osaka stadium went bankrupt and was soon converted to a sample housing
showground. The stadium was eventually demolished in 1998 and a shopping center was
built in its place.

Tornado Alley Safer for Tornadoes than Mobile Home Alley

Interesting graphic showing that Tornado Alley produces the most tornadoes
in the U.S. but most deaths from tornadoes happen East of Tornado Alley.

Original Batman Drawing Sells For $450,000

This 1986 original art for a Batman comic drawn by Frank Miller
sold to an anonymous buyer yesterday for $448,125.
That makes it the most valuable piece of American comic art to ever sell.

$4 Billion of Taxpayer Money to Oil Co.'s Doesn't Matter

Reposted from Boing Boing:

Sarah Palin and Rep. James Lankford defended $4 billion in Federal subsidies to the
booming oil sector, saying that giving billions in taxpayer dollars to profitable companies
wasn't fiscally irresponsible, since $4 billion is "just a drop in the bucket" when compared
to the total deficit. Some drop: it's 120,000% larger than the NPR funding House
Republicans were anxious to eliminate in the name of balancing the budget. Thousands
for public media: bad. Billions for oil barons: good.

Osama Bin Laden is Dead

A happy day for all the families who have been affected by him.
